Alicia Ozier, MA, GSDP, GPHAP

For over 18 years, Ms. Ozier has maintained a primary focus on understanding the life experiences of underserved women and children who are isolated by systemic inequality.  She is committed to developing transformative avenues for providing equitable access to care in spaces where the need is greatest.

In support of this mission, Ms. Ozier has worked in three primary areas of service: 1) Illinois’ child welfare systems; 2) the Statewide mobile crisis response network associated with behavioral health; and 3) Chicago community organizations to develop and implement resources for LGBT, homeless, and HIV-positive individuals between the ages of 13 to 24.  She champions the process for improving pathways towards equitable health and human service resources in disenfranchised geographic areas.

A most endearing professional and life experience for Ms. Ozier is her work abroad in places like Mumbai India, where she researched health systems for women and children.  As well as a Peace Corps volunteer in West Africa, where she worked with the ministry of health and United Nation organizations to validate and disseminate data for HIV/AIDS and nutrition among pregnant women and children.

Alicia holds a Masters degree in social work – with an emphasis on global social development and health administration and policy.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Northeastern Illinois University with an emphasis on Urban Development. She is also a fellow of UCLA/Johnson and Johnson’s Health Care Executive Program; and is recognized as a Lincoln Laurate for her work as a global humanitarian.

Ms. Ozier maintains a vested commitment to creating avenues that develop social equity for voiceless individuals within the global space.   Outside of working to expand her professional achievements, Alicia is an all-around funny person who enjoys spending time with family, great food, bourbon, and the Looney Tune Cartoons!
